METRO Silver Diner has opened their newest location in Annapolis, Maryland, complete with four NEXTEP touch screen ordering kiosks and six digital menu boards, creating another Next Generation Diner.
As Vice President of Information Systems for METRO Silver Diner, a member of the MICROS advisory group and respected innovator, Mike Snow is familiar with improving operations by employing the latest technology. “Adding NEXTEP kiosks and digital menu boards matches what METRO wants to provide to our guests,” said Snow. “As the Next Generation Diner, we give METRO customers control with healthier options, speed and high value.”
With METRO’s newest implementation of kiosks and digital menu boards tightly integrated with a table management system and MICROS POS, customers can order from the METRO menu at the kiosks, take a numbered key, and enter the key number into the kiosk. When the customer is seated, they plug the key into a dock at the table, which in turn tells the server where to deliver the food order.
