Premier Army Training Center Enlists NEXTEP to Feed the Soldiers

Fort Irwin, located in the High Mojave Desert in California, has enlisted NEXTEP SYSTEMS to implement a complete touch screen ordering kiosk and digital menu board solution for multiple dining concepts.
With a daily population of 23,000 members, the world-class training center maintains a small town atmosphere, yet needed a tough and robust solution.
Seamlessly integrating with Fort Irwin’s existing
MICROS 9700 POS system, the kiosks and digital menu boards will synchronize menus and pricing in real time.
“NEXTEP is committed to providing the government and our military with a top caliber, robust solution,” said Tommy Woycik, president of NEXTEP. “And the digital menu boards will communicate the Army’s message along with food choices for the large population on the base.”
Implementing NEXTEP’s kiosks will enhance the dining experience by enabling patrons to self order and pay, eliminating lines and frustration. With digital menu boards, restaurants can dynamically display promotions and targeted menu items, all controlled from essentially anywhere.
